This dimmer has been thoroughly tested for compatibility with all lighting fixtures in the Cloudy Bay Lighting family, including flush mount ceiling lights. However, it is NOT compatible with smart lights controlled via WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, or similar technologies.

Compatibility:

• Effective with CFL, LED, and incandescent bulbs.

Cloudy Bay dimmers enhance the compatibility of dimmable CFLs and LEDs compared to standard dimmers by reducing flicker and ensuring lights perform reliably at all dimming levels.

Important Note: While most dimmable LEDs and CFLs may not reach as low a level as traditional incandescent or halogen sources, minor adjustments can be made with the adjustment dial for optimal performance.

Adjustment Instructions:

When the light begins to flicker at lower dimming levels, turn the adjustment dial counter-clockwise to stabilize the light output. Set your slider to a position that eliminates any hum or flickering from the light fixtures.

Wiring Instructions:

Single Pole Installation: 1. Connect the green ground wire from the dimmer to the ground wire in the wall box. 2. Connect the black dimmer wire to the hot input wire removed from the existing switch. 3. Connect one of the two red dimmer wires to the wire leading to the light fixture. 4. Cap the unused red wire with a wire nut.

3-Way Installation: 1. Connect the green ground wire from the dimmer to the ground wire in the wall box. 2. Connect the black dimmer wire to the TAG wire from the existing switch. 3. Connect the two red wires from the dimmer to the remaining wires from the switch.

Troubleshooting Tips:

1. Light Flickers Across Dimming Range:
2. Ensure that the lamp is dimmable.
3. Check compatibility of the lighting fixture with the dimmer.
4. Remember that many dimmable LEDs and CFLs might not achieve as low levels as incandescent or halogen sources.

5. If using multiple fixtures/lamps on one dimmer, variations in the circuit may cause flickering. It's advisable to control similar types or models with one dimmer.
