Single Pole and 3 Way Wiring instructions are provided, noting that one of the screw terminals from the old switch being removed will usually be a different color (Black) or labeled COMMON, which should be tagged with electrical tape and identified as the COMMON (Line or Load) in both the dimmer wall box and 3-way wall box.

Troubleshooting guidance is offered for issues such as the dimmer not turning on the light, light flickering throughout the dimming range, and CFL or LED lights flickering at low brightness, with solutions including checking bulb installation, circuit breaker/fuse connection, neutral line connection, and using the Minimum Brightness Setting.
